Cotopaxi National Park and Volcano Avenue
The Cotopaxi Volcano with 5897 masl. (19.347 ft), is undoubtedly the main attraction of the park. It is an active volcano stratum whose characteristic is to form a perfect cone, which rises majestically in the Andes Mountain range and can be observed from many places in the country.
In the upper part it is covered with glaciers and in its lower part is the Andean Paramo, a unique environment that despite its height is covered with a vegetal layer, the Paramo is one of the ecosystems with the greatest biological diversity in the high mountains around the world.
The Cotopaxi National Park is one of the most wonderful places that Ecuador has. In addition to enjoying an incredible view, we can also find a large number of unique flora and fauna such as the Andean condor, considered one of the largest flying birds in the world.

The Avenue of the Volcanoes, named for the expeditionary Alexander Von Humboldt, (German scientist) consists of the fragmentation of the Andes Mountains that forms two mountain systems that extend from north to south and is composed of active and inactive volcanoes.
