Chimborazo Volcano
It is one of the most important reserves in Ecuador, it is located at an altitude of 3800 to 6310 m.a.s.l (12.467 to 20.702 ft), its climate is cold, but sometimes it is temperate.

The main attraction of this place is the Chimborazo Volcano, the highest in Ecuador and in turn the point of the planet closest to the sun. This mountain is one of the most important for mountaineering (Andinismo or Alpinism), without a doubt it is a mountain that dazzles us with its size and beauty.

We can also see many species of animals in this reserve that include vicuñas, pumas, raptors among others.
As its name says, it was created with the purpose of preserving and promoting the reproduction of species typical of this ecosystem, South American camelids are one of the most representative species of the Andes. These animals helped a lot so that the native peoples could settle in this place thousands of years ago, both for their beauty and functionality they contributed a lot to the development of their culture.

Vicunas, lamas and alpacas are sacred animals within the indigenous worldview, which provided very important materials such as meat, milk, clothing and played a fundamental role in their subsistence and development.
